1942 HOT POINT KITCHEN

With so many plants switched to manufacturing military good and lack of materials for the consumer market, many companies had virtually nothing to sell to the general public. This, however, didn't stop them from advertising, mostly to remind customers of what they should buy when goods where again available. Since many families were buying war bonds anyway, which could be redeemed after the war, some advertisers were trying to lay claim to this bond money in advance, planting a seed for future sales.
